In 2024, Enanta Pharmaceuticals established its new headquarters at 4 Kingsbury Avenue, a modern workplace located within Alexandria Real Estate’s Arsenal on the Charles campus in Watertown, Massachusetts. The project reflects Enanta’s bold scientific mission and deep cultural roots, uniting cutting-edge research support with a human-centered office environment.
The 4 Kingsbury location is now home to Enanta’s primary workplace operations, complementing its nearby administrative offices in the historic 400 Talcott building, also part of the Arsenal’s legacy footprint. Together, the two buildings connect innovation and history, merging modern biotech development with the architectural heritage of the former military arsenal.
OLSON LEWIS + Architects worked closely with Enanta to design a space that embodies their scientific integrity and collaborative spirit. The new headquarters features a flexible network of 31 meeting and collaboration spaces, biophilic design strategies, and a strong visual narrative grounded in Enanta’s identity. Key program elements include a central café with suspended plant structures, transparent lab portals, and environmental graphics that honor both team diversity and the company’s impact on global health.
The result is a headquarters that fosters scientific excellence, celebrates culture, and supports connection—with nature, with colleagues, and with Enanta’s enduring mission to improve lives through innovative science.
