OLSON LEWIS + Architects transformed Cubist Pharmaceuticals’ existing single-story administration building into a research and development laboratory. The expansion added 110,000 sf of new lab space across two floors and connected the renovated building to an existing three-story laboratory facility.
A new multistory atrium creates a shared point of connection between the buildings and organizes circulation across the expanded campus. Purple finishes introduced in the lobby continue throughout the interior, carrying Cubist’s visual identity into the research workplace.
