Michigan Humane Society Detroit is a new 33,400 sf animal care and adoption facility. OLSON LEWIS + Architects’ Animal Care Studio provided the interior design and detailing as well as the design of the exterior elevations, creating a cohesive approach inside and out.
The program includes adoption spaces, a veterinary clinic and surgery suite, animal intake, separate dog and cat holding areas, animal control offices, and veterinary training areas. The layout brings animal care, public services, and professional training together within one connected facility.
