Milestone Achieved at Tenacre Country Day School: Historic Relocation and New Design Center Progress
We’re pleased to share a significant milestone in the Tenacre Country Day School project in Wellesley, MA—the successful relocation of the historic Appledore House, a 4,120-square-foot structure built in 1880. Preserving Appledore’s architectural and historical integrity was a key challenge, and with the expertise of Payne Construction Services, the home was safely moved to its new campus location, where it will continue serving the school community.
With Appledore preserved, construction is now well underway on the new Design Center—a 9,480-square-foot building designed to support hands-on learning, creativity, and collaboration. In July, the project reached its topping-off ceremony, with the final steel beam lifted into place, marking a pivotal step in bringing Tenacre’s vision to life.
Special thanks to our dedicated project partners, Erland Construction and Scalora Consulting Group, for their collaboration and expertise in this transformative campus addition.
At OLSON LEWIS + Architects, we are proud to contribute to Tenacre’s future, creating spaces where tradition and innovation meet.
