We are looking for an experienced Design Professional to join our team. With 5 or more years in the field, you'll take meaningful ownership of projects across all design phases — from concept through construction administration — working alongside a team that takes craft seriously.
Our Work
OLSON LEWIS + Architects works across education, life sciences, residential, animal care, and hospitality. This role will primarily focus on life sciences, education, and residential projects, though we encourage candidates to share their interests as we work to match people with projects that fit them well.
What You'll Do
- Lead and contribute to architectural design across a range of project types and scales.
- Develop design concepts through sketches, 3D models, renderings, and digital files.
- Produce Schematic Design and Design Development documents with confidence.
- Develop construction documents in Revit, contributing technical depth and mentoring junior staff.
- Lead or participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
- Coordinate with engineers, landscape architects, and interior designers across all project phases.
- Support marketing efforts through graphics and presentation materials.
- Take an active role in Construction Administration, from document review to site observation.
Work Environment
Collaboration and mentorship are part of how we work. Most of the team is in the office Monday through Thursday, with one to two remote days a week. Our office is in Manchester-by-the-Sea, within walking distance of the MBTA Commuter Rail Rockport Line. Free parking on-site.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong design and technical skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly across a team
- Experience with hand drawing and sketching
- Excellent graphic presentation and visualization skills
- Detail-oriented and organized, with good judgment on complex project problems
- A collaborative approach — someone who contributes actively and helps others do the same
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Solid technical knowledge, including building codes and accessibility requirements
- Architectural licensure or active progress toward it
